I miss Romania.
Well, I can’t wait to go back to Romania, and so I thought I’d start putting up some of my pictures that I have taken on my trips over there. Here is a picture that I took of this adorable little girl in a Gypsy village this past summer.

Stars at Night
I decided to post this picture tonight in honor of my friend, Luke. I was telling him a couple weeks ago about how I had taken a long, several minute exposure with my camera on a tripod, and be able to see all the stars and moon moving from the world spinning! I haven't done it nearly as much I would like to and want to go shoot night pictures soon, but I thought I'd post this picture I took several months ago. Although the moon is not in it, you can see the stars that have moved, and lights from houses that you could barely see with your eyes when I took the picture. I took it at midnight one night, for 5min and 5sec.

Glamour Idea Picked
Well, I got my thumbnails back for my glamour shot assignment! My professor, Harkins picked my idea of a girl in a nice fancy dress in a corn field! I am really excited about this shoot, and hope that I can create the shot to appear how I am imagining it! Now if I can only figure out when both my model, and I can both have time!!!
For the Love of Dogs
I absolutely love dogs, and so, I figure it was only fair to have at least one post about William Wegman. Although I don't particularly love all of his work, his accomplishments are outstanding. Also, it's obvious that the guy loves his dogs... even if he does put them through a heck of a lot! Click here to visit his website!

Tony Trotti
So, I'm not sure if any of you have ever watched this guy, or videos of him, but he is an incredible artist. He is an incredible painter. Not only because his work is amazing, but because of his own unique style of how he paints! He paints portrait pictures of lots of people, from Jesus Christ to Elvis Presley and other celebrities. Here are a few of my favorite videos of him painting!
When It All Started...
Few people know how I first got interested in taking pictures, so I thought I'd share. It was August of 2005, when my family and I went on a 2 week road trip out west! We drove our camper all the way across the country and went to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills of South Dakota, and every BBQ place along the way! On this trip, I frequently kept my mom's digital point and shoot camera to myself, and tried my best to take cool pictures. Here's a few of the pictures that I took on that trip that started my journey with photography.

Photography in the Courtroom...
I have often wondered what it would be like to be a forensic photographer. Because of my interest and admiration for those who do it professionally, I searched legal photography and other related articles. I found this article on The Origin of Legal Photography. It covers topics from the oldest mug shots found to the records of the first photographs taken to court! I loved reading this article, and learned a lot! Click here to read it for yourself!
Last Minute Advice
The feature for Finch is due on wednesday, and now that we have no more time to shoot, here's an article I found on photojournalism! =P It's called How To Take Great Newspaper Photos. I thought it was interesting, and had some good pointers. You can read the article here.
